S Scan
The child scans a virtual card or a printed card with DhanaScan.
DhanaScan
Reading • Simple sounds • Virtual and printed cards
DhanaScan guides children aged 3+ from sound to word, then to sentence and story with the SERCER method: scan, listen, repeat, colour, exercise and reinforce.
Children can start immediately with virtual cards. Printed cards remain available for hands-on learning, cutting out cards and building their own words.
The DhanaScan philosophy
A banana naturally bends as it grows toward the light. I imagined DhanaScan with the same idea: guiding children step by step toward understanding in a natural, simple and reassuring way.
SERCER Method
A clear progression: Scan, Listen, Repeat, Colour, Exercise and Reinforce.

The child repeats with DhanaScan’s guidance to practise pronunciation and build confidence.
The child can colour workbook illustrations on paper or import the workbook into Apple Books for digital colouring.
The child completes sound-based activities to gradually develop early reading and writing skills.

Yes. In guided activities, DhanaScan can listen when the child repeats to help them practise pronunciation. The goal is to encourage the child, not to make them feel they failed. If a syllable is not recognised after several tries, the child can try saying a word that starts with that syllable, or add words such as the, a or an before the word.
Yes. Parents can see the child’s progress and earned badges. They can also print badges from the Cards section, cut them out and stick them in the workbooks when the child finishes their work. Badges celebrate progress without encouraging more screen time.
