DhanaScan
Reading • Phonics • Scan cards
DhanaScan helps children ages 3+ discover phonics sounds in French, English and Hindi through a simple method: scan, listen, repeat, then build words.
DhanaScan philosophy
A banana naturally curves as it grows toward the light. I imagined DhanaScan with the same idea: guiding children step by step toward understanding in a natural, simple and reassuring way.
A simple method
A clear progression from sounds to words, then to short sentences.
Prepare the cards and booklets from the Resources section.
The child scans a Dhana card with the app.
The child listens to the sound and repeats at their own pace.
Syllables combine to build simple words.
Step by step, the child progresses toward short sentences.
Videos and episodes
Watch the demo, educational episodes and special videos.
Complete kit
DhanaScan combines interactive learning, printable resources and hands-on activities.
Dhana cards are designed to be recognized by the app and help children practice sounds step by step.
All phonics booklets follow the same visual learning universe: alphabet tracing, progressive phonics learning, writing practice, hands-on activities and coloring.
The child combines sounds to understand how syllables build words. Example: BA → Banana, NA → Napkin, NA → Napkin, then BA.NA.NA.
Short stories help children connect sounds, words and meaning. Example: DO.DI HAS A BA.NA.NA.

About
DhanaScan was created by Vandhana Teeluckdharry Jhoomuck, a mother and independent developer.

DhanaScan grew from hands-on work around simple sounds, educational cards and progressive reading discovery.
The goal is to offer a reassuring, playful and accessible approach to help young children discover sounds and first words from age 3.
