A banana naturally curves as it grows toward the light. I imagined DhanaScan with the same idea: guiding children step by step toward understanding in a natural, simple and reassuring way.

DhanaScan grew from hands-on work around simple sounds, educational cards and progressive reading discovery.

The goal is to offer a reassuring, playful and accessible approach to help young children discover sounds and first words from age 3.

What age is DhanaScan recommended for?

DhanaScan is mainly designed for children ages 3+. Older children who need support with reading may also use it with adult guidance.

Which languages are available?

French, English and Hindi are currently available. More English and Hindi content is being added progressively.

Is DhanaScan free?

Yes. The DhanaScan app can be downloaded for free. Some additional resources and in-app content are available at affordable prices.

Is there a subscription?

No. DhanaScan does not require a monthly subscription.

Do paid resources and YouTube episodes require parental permission?

Yes. Paid resources and YouTube episodes should be accessed with parental permission and supervision.

Does DhanaScan work with other cards?

No. DhanaScan works only with official Dhana educational cards designed for the app.

Can the booklets be printed multiple times?

Booklets can be printed up to 3 times for personal family or educational use.

Are the resources protected?

Yes. All DhanaScan resources, including cards, booklets, stories, illustrations and educational content, are protected by copyright.

Does the app collect personal data?

No. DhanaScan does not collect children’s personal data. There are no ads and no child account.

What is the camera used for?

The camera is used only to scan Dhana educational cards. Images are not sent to a server.

My child lacks vocabulary. What can I do?

You can also explore DhanaMoriah, an app designed to enrich children’s vocabulary through images, words and simple activities.
